Tramontana
Context
A single long table on a terrace cut into the cliff, where the north wind arrives before the plates do.
You hear the sea before you see the table. We wanted the site to do the same — sound, then light, then the plate.
The problem
The menu was beautiful in the room and invisible online — a grid of dishes with no weather, no hour, no sea.
Approach
We let the place set the table: dusk light, salt on the glass, the last boat in.
The menu became a slow descent of courses, not a list to scan.
Reservations made quiet and certain, held in the same hush as the room.

The arrival
A scroll that drops you down the cliff face as the light fails and the first course lands.
Result
Covers filled earlier in the season.
Guests arrived already knowing the room.
The wind, finally, made it onto the page.
